Through its initiatives, Acacia Network has seen significant improvements in operational efficiency: a 31% increase in processed referrals per quarter, an 82% reduction in the time needed to schedule appointments, and a 5% decrease in patient wait times for appointments.

Strategic Objectives

1. Improved Referral Management: Acacia Network sought a referral management solution to efficiently handle both inbound and outbound referrals across its diverse programs, moving away from manual spreadsheets to a more organized and automated system. The ReferralMD Referral Portal, implemented on their website, provided an ideal solution, streamlining the referral process and keeping referrals in-house.
2. Enhanced COVID-19 Response: Leveraging ReferralMD’s Patient Request Appointment feature, Acacia improved community access to COVID-19 vaccine appointments, demonstrating agility and responsiveness to public health needs.
3. Reduction of Patient No-Shows: To tackle the issue of patient no-shows, Acacia Network adopted a system for automatic patient reminders through texts and emails, ensuring patients remember their upcoming appointments.
