ReferralMD Certified Consultants

ReferralMD is building a network of independent healthcare consultants who are certified to assist healthcare organizations with the implementation and optimization of the ReferralMD platform.

Certified Consultants work directly with healthcare organizations to support onboarding, workflow design, system configuration, and training. Consultants operate independently and engage directly by healthcare organizations for services.

Through the ReferralMD Certification Program, consultants gain specialized training on the platform and best practices for referral management, care coordination, and digital front door solutions.

Consultant Responsibilities

ReferralMD Certified Consultants support healthcare organizations throughout the onboarding and implementation lifecycle. The following responsibilities may be delivered by Certified Consultants based on the needs of the healthcare organization.

Implementation & Onboarding

  • Manage onboarding and implementation projects for ReferralMD customers
  • Define and document customer objectives, project scope, and success metrics
  • Coordinate implementation timelines and deliverables

Workflow Design

  • Analyze current referral and intake workflows
  • Recommend operational improvements that improve efficiency and patient access
  • Design optimized workflows utilizing ReferralMD capabilities

System Configuration

  • Configure ReferralMD solutions based on organizational requirements
  • Support integration with practice workflows and care coordination processes

Training & Adoption

  • Deliver end-user, system administrator and analytics training to staff
  • Guide organizations through go-live preparation and system adoption
  • Promote best practices for referral management and patient access

Ongoing Optimization

  • Provide ongoing guidance, troubleshooting, and system optimization
  • Assist organizations with reporting and performance improvements

Ideal Consultant Background

ReferralMD Certified Consultants typically have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Healthcare operations or practice administration
  • Referral management or care coordination
  • Health IT implementation or consulting
  • Clinical informatics or workflow optimization
  • EHR / healthcare SaaS implementations
  • Population health or access management

Experience working with health systems, community health centers, specialty practices, or multi-location medical groups is required for ReferralMD Certified Consultants.

Certification Program

To participate in the program, consultants must complete the ReferralMD Certified Consultant Training Program, which includes:

  • Complete platform training
  • Implementation methodology
  • Workflow optimization best practices
  • Certification assessment

Once certified, consultants may offer ReferralMD implementation and training services directly to healthcare organizations.

Engagement Model

ReferralMD Certified Consultants are independent contractors and are not employees of ReferralMD.

ReferralMD Certified Consultants:

  • Must complete the online ReferralMD Certification Program. Once certified, the consultant will be listed in the ReferralMD Certified Consultants Directory.
  • Contract directly with healthcare organizations for services. ReferralMD does not pay consultants.
  • Provide implementation, training and optimization support to contracted healthcare organizations.
  • Must report status of services delivered to contracted healthcare organizations to ReferralMD to remain listed in the ReferralMD Certified Consultants Directory.
